Aunt Jane's chicken wontons

When we go to visit my Aunt Jane she always makes chicken won tons.  They are delicious.  I always thought they were difficult to make but they are not.  I decided a few weeks ago I would try to make them.  They are so easy to make and I am now addicted to them.  I have made them at least once a week since I started!  Each time we seem to make more and more.  This past week we made 120.  Enjoy making them!

Aunt Jane's Chicken Won Tons
1 8oz cream cheese (softened)
1/4 tsp vanilla
1 egg
4 chopped chives
1/2 tsp garlic powder
3 cooked chicken breasts (shredded)
1 tsp soy sauce
1 pkg won ton wrappers

Shred the cooked chicken.  Mix all ingredients together except the wrappers.  Put a small amt of the chicken mixture in the middle of each wrapper.  Moisten the edge.  Fold over into a triangle and seal tight.  Put the two points together and seal.  It will look like a crown.  Deep fry until golden brown.  (I don't have a deep fryer I just use a pot and vegetable oil.  Buy sweet and sour duck sauce for dipping.  The wrappers can be found in the produce section.  I found mine at Walmart.  They are very inexpensive.  1 pkg is approx 3 dollars and it makes 52 wontons.  One recipe yields appox 1 pkg of wrappers.
